Acute Medicine
Acute medicine is a cornerstone of general practice and all our doctors are skilled in assessing and managing acute medical conditions. In addition, the doctors manage patients in Mount Pleasant Hospital and have admitting rights to the hospital for patients who are not well enough to be managed at home.
Chronic Diseases Management
Our other core principle is that having an illness should not define your life. Proper management of many chronic diseases will allow for better quality of life.
We can comprehensively manage a variety of chronic disease through a management plan.
Wound Care
We are able to provide a variety of chronic wound dressings with the expertise and experience of our practice nurses who have considerable experience in wound management as well as compression dressings used in chronic leg ulcers
Walk-In Emergencies
Please note that the Mount Pleasant Hospital DOES NOT have an operating A+E. The emergency treatment room at Mount Pleasant surgery is provided to the community by our Doctors who are in private practice. This service is only partly funded by Medicare and as such, there is a GAP for ALL patients to pay, to make this service remain viable.
Immunisations
Keeping up to date immunisations for childhood and adults. Talunga Clinic offers vaccination for various age group and needs. (Covid, Travel, etc) Protect yourself and your loved ones from vaccine-preventable illnesses.
Women's Health
Our doctors actively encourage preventative health by performing pap smears and recommending breast checks and screening.
In addition, Dr Goh is trained in Implanon insertion.
Mental Health
All our doctors are adequately trained in assessing mental health emergencies. We also utilise and work with mental health clinicians in the Barossa and Adelaide Hills region. Speak to one of our caring staff

Iron Infusion
Iron infusion is a minor procedure that infuse iron-containing medicine into the bloodstream. Have a chat with our doctors to check if this suits your needs and the conditions.
Minor Skin Surgery
All our doctors are trained in minor skin procedures and operate through the Mount Pleasant Hospital. Services include implanon, insertions and removals and others.
For more extensive surgery, referals are made to visiting plastic or general surgeons.
Workcover Medicine
We recognise that work related injuries can take a toll on both the employer and employee and are keen promoters of early return to work where possible. We also communicate with all related parties in a timely manner to provide medical expertise on medical opinions required in Workcover cases.
Home Visits
For patients with special circumstances, Talunga Clinic offers home visits to some patients who live within a 10km radius of the practice. Speak to our friendly staff and find out more about it.
