PAYMENT POLICY

Talunga Clinic is a private billing practice. This means that all accounts are to be paid in full at the time of consultation.  Our fee schedule, which can be found below, is significantly less than the fees recommended by the Australian Medical Association. The payment policy also applies to Telehealth and Respiratory Clinic consults.

Private patients (any patient that does not have a current pension card, health care card or is not under 16 years of age) are expected to pay the full account at the time of consultation. Payment may be made by cash, EFTPOS or cheque. You can now claim your Medicare rebate "on the spot" at Talunga Clinic, with Medicare Easyclaim. Your rebate can be issued into a cheque or savings account. Otherwise, the account can be sent online through Medicare and you will receive a direct deposit.

Please ring and cancel your appointment if you are unable to keep it. Failure to provide 24 hours notice of any cancellation will incur a non-attendance fee. The non-attendance fee is calculated at the rate of $50 per 15 minute appointment time slot.  Thus, a missed double appointment (30 minutes) will incur a $100 fee.

PRIVACY POLICY

Consistent with our commitment to quality of care, our practice has developed a policy in compliance with privacy legislation to protect patient privacy. This policy states that we require your consent to collect information about you, why we need this information and what what purposes it will be used for. 

 

In addition, all medical records and personal information are strictly confidential. It is practice policy to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised staff  members.
